Accessibility Statement
Updated: October 2026.
General
We believe every person has the right to use the web with dignity, equality, comfort and independence, and we aim for this site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2), level AA.
What this site does
- Semantic HTML with a clear heading structure and labelled controls.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
- Text and background colors are chosen for readable contrast, in both the light and the dark theme.
- A patterns mode marks every color group with a pattern too, so no map relies on color alone.
- Animations are turned off for visitors who set "reduce motion" in their system.
- The layout adapts to any screen size and supports browser zoom.
- The data behind every map can be downloaded as CSV, for use with a screen reader or any other tool.
Known limitations
The maps are interactive charts. A screen reader reaches their names and details, but the visual layout (positions, links and timelines) is best read through the CSV downloads. Links to outside sources (registries, papers, filings) lead to sites whose accessibility is outside our control.
